On a good note .Since getting advice of another GSD Lover Rhian,we changed his food and he is doing fantastic,The sea water didnt agree with him though!!!

Busy day
Well today has been spent re arranging and sorting out the Pens for the dogs.Not that until now they needed any work,BUT our beautiful Yogi is a terror hehehehh
Not only does he eat the Laurel bushes surrounding the pens,he also lifts the flags to bury his new found playthings (GOLF BALLS) He will play with them for hours until tired. Then he has been lifting the 2x2 flags to hide them away.I found 7 under a flag today little begger.
I dont mind so much the hiding of the balls.ITS the mess he makes scraping all the soil out from under the flags then running in the house with MUD up to his chest.
SO all re flaged,Laurel bushes cut back and chicken wire around the bottom of the stems,and lets see tomorrow what else the naughty boy can find to cause me more work.
We love him though and hes starting to know that too and is responding to brushing, sitting when told,waiting to dive into his meal and having his knashers brushed.
He needs to gain 4 kg so is enjoying to new added supplement to his meal....pasta

a Good day
Had a good day today.I walked my 3 early today and set of to help at the Shelter.The sun was out and it was dry.Got to cleaning out some of the cats homes then off dog waliking.Had new Dogs to walk today so it was different but just as enjoyable.
Came home to find mine still sleeping off their morning walk,,lazy beggers,so after a quick clean aound,,out we all went again just up the lane to run around in the fields.
Yogi seems to be so much better,but i find im getting paranoid about his POO lol. He has had proper poos today untill tonight,but its earty days.I started him on chicken and rice mix yeasterday,,but i think back to chicken soup tomorrow with cooked pasta.
He is at the vet again on Wed,so we will know then if he has fully recoverd.
Tonight they have all had a mad 2 hours messing with the toys in the living room.One day in gonna video them as its funny wtching them all play.Yogi hasnt quite go the hang of sharing yet.ITS MINE ITS MINE as he runs around trying to fit ALL the toys in his mouth at once. Happy Days

ALL is well.I think
Well today Yogi has managed to keep his Chicken soup and Pasta INSIDE himself which is great.Only been to the loo twice so far today and its getting better. He has managed a walk today and seems a bit more like himself. He has enjoyed ten mins running with Kenya whilst Mr grum just watched and moaned.Im sure he wants me to take him back now please lol
We have also found out Yogi is a great escape artist,no matter which pen he goes in to play , he gets out.We have highered the gete twice now and he still manages it.I have just had all 3 in the big pen for wee time and when i turned around Yogi was right behind me..the gate still well and truly secure and 2 dogs looking very puzzled as to how he had managed to get out .
I can feel a big building project for Spring.
I have managed another hour long brushing of his coat and i think im getting there with it now,god it was matted undernieth.He is very good too when brushing so i cant understand how the last HUMAN to have him let it get so bad.

Chicken soup
Ok today we have to give Yogi Chicken soup in small quantities through the day.He has only been once today to the loo and its still not right!
I have to contact the vet tomorrow if he is still the same and they will then take him in i think as he will get de-hydrated.He isnt interrested in drinking today which is a worry.
He has finished his Hydration meds and has had his last dose of wormer as there was worms in his poo on monday.
Poor little man.
Had to turn down taking a Lurcher dog today too for freshfileds as i am run off my feet trying to see to Yogi and keep the other 2 away from him and of course his infected poo, delightful !!
Fingers crossed he keeps his Soup down. Good job we have nice sunny days as the bedding is none stop.

Yogi and his poisoning
WELL Sunday Yogi had a very poorly tummy.He was having yucky poos all day every hour! We had niticed earlier he had been happily destroying plants and trellis surrounding his pen. The poor thing was in pain and cried every time he passed anything.With it being late on sunday and vets closed i gave him some imodium and some Charcoal treats to try settle him down. He had a good night and didnt need the loo al night,but this morning was dreadfull with the added problem of sickness.
As soon as the vets opened i booked an appointment and took him straight in. The vet asked me what he had been chewing and i gladly told her. She rushed off the check her files and came back telling me he had poisoned himself by eting the Laurel Bushes!! I didnt even realsie they were poisones to dogs as i have Never had a GSD eat them.
He was given and antidote to help counteract the poison,dyoralyt salts to rehydrate him,and a compound to re-introduce good bugs to his now very empty gut!
He isnt allowed any proper dog meal for 6 days. He cant eat for 48 hours, then a small ammount of Chicken soup on Thursday.He can then have rice and chicken soup on Friday Sat Sunday. If all goes well and he dosent re start the watery poo,he can be fed light food ,rice,chicken and Natural Yoghurt on Monday.
The poor thing. I will have to now make sure when he is out messing about in the garden LAURELS are out of bounds.
